Antiques experts Thomas Plant, James Braxton and a television crew visited Boldon Auction Galleries on Wednesday 26th May filming for the next series of the BBC's Antiques Road Trip.
It is understood to be the first filming for the second series of the show, which is scheduled to be aired in September.
Alan Clements, director of content for STV, said: “We’re delighted that audiences are enjoying Antiques Road Trip and are thrilled to be producing a second and longer series for the BBC”.
Each expert had a starting budget of £200, and from this they had to try to continually trade up to increase their profits every time they sold at auction.
The saleroom was full as the lots came under the hammer with bidders jostling for room. The experts said they had had a very enjoyable and fingers-crossed successful day. You will have to wait until the show is broadcast to see who wins!
At the fall of the last lot the experts hit the road once again in their beautiful vintage red MG sports car searching for antiques to sell as they travel through a changing landscape of stunning countryside, coastal villages, bustling market towns and sprawling cities.
